Anxiety (Including Panic Disorder, Phobias, and Social Anxiety)

Anxiety can feel like an ever-present weight—impacting your relationships, your work, and your ability to enjoy day-to-day life. Whether you’re experiencing panic attacks, navigating specific fears (phobias), or feeling overwhelmed by social situations, you’re not alone. Therapy is a safe, supportive way to gain coping skills, reduce distress, and move toward a calmer, more confident life.

A Compassionate Approach, Tailored to You

I’m a trauma-informed, eclectic therapist, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Polyvagal Theory—to support your unique needs.

  • Panic Disorder: Frequent panic attacks and fear of their recurrence can feel debilitating. We’ll work together on techniques to reduce the intensity of panic and help you feel more in control.

  • Phobias: Specific fears can limit your day-to-day life or even keep you homebound. By combining gentle exposure strategies with relaxation and grounding techniques, we’ll gradually break down these fears in a safe environment.

  • Social Anxiety: Social or performance situations can trigger overwhelming nervousness and self-consciousness. I’ll help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build self-compassion, and develop stronger social confidence.

What to Expect in Therapy

  • Safe & Nonjudgmental Space: It can be difficult to talk about anxious thoughts and fears. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can share honestly and feel truly heard.

  • Collaborative Goal-Setting: We’ll clarify what you hope to achieve—whether it’s attending social gatherings without panic, tackling specific phobias, or simply experiencing less anxious distress on a daily basis.

  • Practical Tools & Coping Strategies: Together, we’ll practice evidence-based techniques—such as CBT exercises and mindfulness—to manage symptoms and challenge anxiety-driven thoughts.

  • Ongoing Support & Check-Ins: Therapy is a journey, and your feedback matters. I encourage regular check-ins to ensure our sessions remain focused on your evolving needs.
