Relationship Counselling

Relationships are integral to our well-being, yet they can also be a source of stress, hurt, and confusion. You might feel stuck in unhealthy dynamics, struggle to communicate effectively, or sense that boundaries are constantly being crossed. Whether you’re experiencing conflict with a partner, family member, or friend, therapy can provide a supportive space to gain clarity, develop healthier patterns, and foster deeper connections.

A Supportive, Insightful Approach

I’m a trauma-informed, eclectic therapist, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Polyvagal Theory—to support your unique needs.

  • Panic Disorder: Frequent panic attacks and fear of their recurrence can feel debilitating. We’ll work together on techniques to reduce the intensity of panic and help you feel more in control.

  • Phobias: Specific fears can limit your day-to-day life or even keep you homebound. By combining gentle exposure strategies with relaxation and grounding techniques, we’ll gradually break down these fears in a safe environment.

  • Social Anxiety: Social or performance situations can trigger overwhelming nervousness and self-consciousness. I’ll help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build self-compassion, and develop stronger social confidence.

What to Expect in Therapy

  • Safe & Nonjudgmental Space: Relationship challenges can feel deeply personal and often involve a range of emotions. I strive to create a supportive environment where you can share openly and be heard with compassion.

  • Collaborative Exploration: We’ll work together to identify root causes of conflict, develop concrete strategies for healthier interaction, and set goals that align with your personal values and relational hopes.

  • Tools for Real-Life Application: Expect to learn and practice skills such as active listening, mindful communication, and conflict resolution—techniques you can bring into your daily life.

  • Regular Check-Ins: Your relationships and priorities may evolve over time. I encourage ongoing discussions to ensure therapy remains focused on what matters most to you.

Taking the Next Step

If you’re ready to address relationship issues and build healthier connections, therapy can provide valuable guidance and support. I offer sessions via phone, secure video, or in-person (through my associates and clinical interns).
